City of Tucson CNG Plant Upgrades

Located in Tucson, AZ

A new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Plant was provided which houses compressors, generators, and computerized monitoring equipment. The Plant provides CNG fuels to meet the needs of Sun Tran, all of the City’s refuse collection vehicles and all other vehicles using CNG. Three different fueling operations are fed from the Plant, involving significant coordination of underground utilities over a 22 acre site.

The new facility is state-of-the-art, and is projected to provide the City of Tucson with a large financial benefit as well as long-term environmental benefits from a reduced carbon footprint.
