2019 ASLA Central States Award Winner
University of Iowa Seamans Center project receives 2019 American Society of Landscape Architects Central States Category 1 Design-Built Merit Award
The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) awarded Shive-Hattery the 2019 Category 1: Design-Build Merit Award in recognition of outstanding professional achievement for the University of Iowa Seamans Center project.
The strategic use of permeable pavement, building roof stormwater capture and daylighting, bio-filtration cells, turf replacement and native plant selection are combined to create a sustainable, low-maintenance water quality treatment system.
In collaboration with BNIM , a sustainable site that embraced a high level of pedestrian traffic was achieved.
