The Wisconsin Latino Chamber of Commerce unveiled designs for its future business incubator called “The Gateway.” The 15,000 SF facility in Fitchburg, WI, will include classrooms, a commercial kitchen for training and food preparation, retail, and entrepreneurial spaces.
Shive-Hattery Architectural Intern, Jerry Rodriguez, says, “I can’t express how much it means to be able to represent my culture and give back to the Hispanic community through design.”
Rodriguez helped design the Tu Empresa business incubator where entrepreneurs will learn business skills and strategy in the state-of-the-art facility.
The commercial kitchen, called Tu Cocina Food Hub, will serve as both a food preparation classroom and a resource for food businesses. The Gateway will also offer space for entrepreneurs to store equipment as they grow.
Founded in 2003, the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Dane County represents the Latino and non-Latino business community in the greater Madison and surrounding cities.
