Our Lincoln design studio is one of more than 200 businesses that make up the Historic Haymarket, home to some of lincoln’s biggest annual events. 

Although we have a flexible environment and support remote work, our team members make it a priority to get to the office. We’re all about team effort, supporting one another, and stepping up to help each other with tight-turnaround projects.

We’ve made our mark in the commercial sector, restaurants and retail, and workplace design, but our architecture and design expertise can be found in multifamily work. We complete projects not only in Lincoln, but also across Nebraska and the Midwest.

• We’re located on the second floor of a historical building, and we have very cool neighbors—including the most popular local coffee shop chain in Lincoln. Because of this, we’re always making connections with community members.

Leadership

Dave is Managing Director of the Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska studios, along with the newly opened Kansas City (Missouri) location. He is responsible for a culture aligned with Shive-Hattery’s guiding principle, values and purpose. He’s an advocate for employees, fostering mentoring, development and engagement, while supporting growth strategies for culture, client experience, project delivery and profitability.

Dave founded and lead studio951 (now Shive-Hattery) for 25 years. Dave excels at building client relationships, business management and architectural direction for residential single and multi-family, commercial, manufacturing buildings, large mixed-use developments and public buildings. In addition to serving as Managing Director, Dave leads the Housing Market Team for Shive-Hattery.
