As a Project Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and success of our projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects providing essential financial insights and support to drive positive outcomes. What You’ll Do: 

As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining all client-related documentation, including contracts, invoices, and master service agreements.  

Each month, you will prepare invoice packages that will align with specific contract and project requirements, ensuring all necessary backup documentation is included for review and approval by project managers before sending them to clients. Your role will involve conducting thorough research on unbilled issues to maximize billing opportunities for each period.  

You will also handle transfers of billable hours and expenses as required, and manage the opening and closing of project phases within the system.  

Monitoring accounts receivable closely, you will collaborate closely with project managers to ensure payments are received on time. Adherence to client agreements, billing policies, internal financial protocols, and organizational policies will be crucial, and you will promptly address any compliance issues that may arise.  

Additionally, you will assist in the project closeout process by reviewing financials to reconcile Work-in-Progress (WIP) and deactivate projects or phases as necessary. 

Requirements

 Qualifications: 

To excel in this role, you will need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.  

You should also be familiar with accounting principles and practices and have experience working with financial systems and tools. Additionally, you should be comfortable working in a team environment, collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
