Shive-Hattery’s West Des Moines IA office has an immediate opening for a licensed Civil Engineer with 10+ years experience.

As the Transportation Market Leader, you will help influence the direction of Shive-Hattery’s growing Transportation Engineering practice. You will lead groups of people who are passionate about providing an unparalleled client experience. 

Work directly with clients in our western region, particularly in Central Iowa and Omaha NE and Kansas City MO. Existing Shive-Hattery transportation clients range from local municipalities to state Departments of Transportation. Recent projects completed by our transportation teams include roundabouts, storm sewers, urban roadway reconstruction, bridge replacements, pedestrian bridges and trails, traffic signals, and numerous other public improvements.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering or related field
• Experience: 10+ years in traffic, transportation, or bridge engineering
• License/Certifications: Professional Engineer license in Iowa or the ability to obtain license within twelve (12) months
• Proven ability to guide individuals towards achieving success in their careers is essential, along with experience in leading project teams and engaging with clients.
