As part of a HUD grant issued by the state of Indiana, Shive-Hattery designed these eight, 3-bedroom townhomes on a very tight site on the north side of Valparaiso.  The site was maximized by double loading the parking with two, 4-unit buildings.  These attractive, yet affordable buildings feature durable cement board siding and cultured stone with white trim.  Modern, clean, durable finishes, such as white solid-surface countertops, gray-brown cabinets, and luxury vinyl plank floors, were selected and each unit includes 2 bathrooms and a laundry room.  The buildings achieved LEED Gold certification and provide much-needed affordable options to the Valparaiso community.
