When Cordish Companies secured a coveted land-based casino approval in Louisiana, they faced a significant challenge: rapidly reimagining the existing Diamond Jack’s Casino & Hotel site into a first-of-its-kind, landmark casino.

Shive-Hattery architects and interior designers rose to the challenge, offering a design strategy that will revitalize the existing building exterior with architectural elements and cutting-edge lighting and AV technology — making it a striking visual landmark in the Shreveport skyline.

A new guest arrival experience sets the stage for an exceptional first impression, with a new intuitive arrival route that enhances both vehicular and pedestrian access. The former pavilion building will be reconstructed to house a first-class gaming floor with over 1,000 slot machines and 40+ table games.

The 550-room hotel, including its lobby and ancillary areas, will receive a comprehensive makeover focusing on modern aesthetics and an increased number of luxury suites. Designs also include five unique restaurants and several feature bars, each offering unparalleled culinary and entertainment options.

The pool area has been reimagined as a resort-style water and entertainment space, complete with private cabanas and advanced AV solutions that echo the extravagance of larger gaming markets.

Poised to open in 2025, the Live! Casino and Hotel in Bossier City promises to be a magnet for tourism and local engagement — generating substantial economic benefits for the surrounding community.
