The Warren County Courthouse in Indianola, Iowa closed its doors nearly a year ago, after employees and inmates were in deteriorating conditions. Last Fall, in a special election, Warren County residents voted to build a new courthouse and jail.

Demolition has begun to make way for the new $30 million, 80,000-square-foot complex which will include a state-of-the-art 911 call center, four new courtrooms and most importantly, a clean and larger space for inmates.
